Nostrano, means "our own" salame, and it is Fra' Mani's expression of a classic Northern Italian salame. Seasoned simply with sea salt, cracked black pepper, garlic and white wine it is a touch milder than the salametto, yet still tangy and flavorful. Each Nostrano is tied by hand in a basket weave pattern. It is easily sliced thinly or thickly with a good sharp knife, and ideal for a party, a hungry family or as an addition to a large salumi platter. Approximately 2 pounds each.
